Advice on building a website?

i need help on building a business website. i know nothing about it. how do i get a domain name? how do i get started? help!Advice on building a website?
Pay $10 at www.godaddy.com to buy a name.

Register at www.Weebly.com or www.SynthaSite.com because you must have someone ';host'; your site. These 2 are cheap and easy to understand.

When you are started, register at www.google.com/local/add so you will show up first when anyone searches for your product or business in your city..Advice on building a website?
It depends on how much you're willing to spend. You could spend $0 and get a Geocities account. It gives you very limited tools and the domain is not top level (.com).

You could spend a little by purchasing an account with 1and1, Godaddy, Yahoo Business and other great places for a few bucks a month without any experience in building websites.

The cheapest place to get a domain is 1and1 not Godaddy. 1and1 gives you nice add-ons such as domain privacy for free, and the domain only costs about $5 or free if you rent a server from them.

There are a few things you need to know in order to build a website, and that is ';Programming Languages';, ';Design Elements and Framework';, and ';Content';. First lay out what you want on your website, and then look into HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Flash or Silverlight, and that should get you going for even more ideas. Databases usually use mySQL 4+, these days a lot of people have already upgraded to mySQL5. You'll see what I mean once you research it.

Finally if you think that building a website is too time consuming, you could always find a company to make one for you professionally. Nothing promotes a business like an amazing website! You'll get a lot more business if your website is professionally made, optimized, and marketed in the market.

What does this mean? SEO, SEM. Have fun and good luck!
