I need advice on making a privacy policy for my website I am building..?

What should I provide my lawyer with? How much should I pay him? What should I make sure he emphasizes? Any other helpful suggestions? THANKS!!I need advice on making a privacy policy for my website I am building..?
All that depends on the nature of the site, which you didn't even hint at.

He should be specialist in the area, few attorneys are.

You should pay him the going rate - if trouble arises, he is going to have to defend you so don't be cheap, you need him on your side.

Not only that, ask him to certify in writing that he did not take the policy from any boilerplate legal site or book, and that he or his firm wrote the underlying document.

Otherwise its not customized enough to your needs, and will likely be full enough of holes as to be worthless in the clutch.

BTW, if you have a budget for this privacy policy, make sure you are properly incorporated so as to limit your legal liability as well. Any attorney that does not suggest that in the first 5 minutes of talking to him or her, thank for their time and walk away and find someone else.
