Any advice on building a computer.?

im going to be using it for slight to moderate gaming. im in college, and im on a budget, so im looking for something that is decent but not a supercomputer. what sugestions would you advise for the processor/video card?Any advice on building a computer.?
I assume that you already had your budget enough. But because you are a student, I recommend that you build computer with AMD Platform. Its cheaper than Intel Platform.

Search a computer website in your area first to make a comparison and fitting the specifications.

I just built an AMD computer for my son and cost USD 500 including a speaker Altec Lansing BXR 1121i, here it is:

2 Memory 1GB DDR2 VISIPRO PC 5300 16 IC

Hard Disk SEAGATE BARRACUDA 160GB

Mother Board AMD Asus M2A-MX

Processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ (AM2) 2,6 GHz

VGA Card PIXELVIEW GeForce 9400 GT 512

Monitor LCD LG W1941S-PF

Keyboard Logitech Classic (Black)

Mouse Logitech Black Optical Mouse

ATX Casing

Oh yes I forgot, every games run smoothly in this computer. It's very not disappointing.Any advice on building a computer.?
I say the best way to go is to go to your local computer repair store and talk to the guys there and find out what would you want for the type of level of gaming your going to do. Since those guys at the comp repair shop are probably programmers or just know how computers work they would know the best things for ya.

Couldnt find my computer receipt.
video card go nVidia. theyre reliable fast and reasonably priced.

processor depends entirely on how much your willing to spend.

you can basically get a processor at any price range
If you're on a budget spend the most you can on the video card.
Go to Shopee and ask for a Standard Configuration (Intel Processor) with max allowed graphic memory...
i always made mine out of other people's spare parts. is someone up grading? take there old stuff. as long as it hasn't gone kaplooy (yes thats a computer term. lol.)
get somebody else to do it
