18yo, 6'0, 150 lbs, small appetite and fast metabolism so it's hard for me to gain weight and i've never taken any supplements or anything. i wanna build muscle mass and tack on a few pounds but also get cut up. looking for any suggestions on routines, specific exercises, sets, reps, diet, or websites to check out. also tips on how to stay motivated since i have a history of working out consistently for a few months then losing all interest for an equal amount of time.Looking for advice on building muscle, gaining some weight, etc.?
right, motivation, pick what you want to look like, from a picture, or whatever u like. then stick it on your wall where you work out at home doing sit ups, press ups etc. this should motivate you. to build muscle gain weight, use weight gainers or/and protein shakes (www.maximuscle.com/co.uk). They work definately when used with a weight regime. Looking for advice on building muscle, gaining some weight, etc.?
Carbs are usually good for putting on some weight and are harder for your metabolism to digest. Don't go overboard though.
Also have a good balance of the Low GI foods.
To buff up, you need to do weights or exercises where you hold your own body up such as push ups or chin ups. This strain causes microscopic tears in your muscles and then the protein in your body fills these tears with more muscle. Make sure to eat enough protein for your body to do this.
Also make sure to change up your routine, as after a certain amount of time your muscles get used to what you're doing and will stop growing. This also helps to keep you motivated :)
A couple of the best weight training websites I have seen are
www.exrx.net
www.t-nation.com
They are both totally free and contain lots of great information.
To stay motivated try setting yourself some goals. If you are working towards reaching a certain weight then write it down and keep it somewhere where you will see it every day.
Good luck
When you perform the same workout for more than 6 weeks, you鈥檒l soon reach a stage of plateau. This is the point where your body has already got used to the workout and thus has decreases its effectiveness.
For better results, refreshing training routine once every 3 months and of course set new goals and targets.
No matter what is your age, you can look at feel your best at any age. This can be easily done by knowing how your body functions and what sort of exercises will get your at its peak.
Some recommendaton on workout programme.

Any advice wanted. We are considering buying land and having a house built. Can anyone offer any advice?
We live in the Raleigh/Durham Area of NC.Any advice wanted. We are considering buying land and having a house built. Can anyone offer any advice?
You are headed in the right direction since investing in real estate is a good thing.
The land purchase (at least here in California) is probably consummated through the help of an escrow which prorates some expenses and taxes while insuring that you get clear title to the property. If you do not have escrow companies, get a real estate attorney to help you.
Then of course, there is the concept of LOCATION. In all real estate investments that is the most important one. Check out the lay of your land. Walk it. Talk to people. Go to city hall and ask questions about utilities, building permits etc.
The purchase of your land should be the easier part of your two part question.
Building a house is the more difficult of the two tasks. You want to check out your builder every which way you can. My experience was that a lot of people involved in the building trades, including the general contractors are less than honest.
Some will furnish inferior product to what is stipulated in the contract. Some will want to have all their money up front or at
least too soon. Establish a payment schedule pegged on work progress allowing for a good chunk of money to be paid at the END.
In the process, before paying anyone, have them give you lien releases so that you are not faced with having to pay for the same work more than once.
When completed, file a Notice of Completion with your county and thus give constructive notice to all that the door to further liens slams shut in, I believe, 30 days from the filing date.
So, it is a GOOD idea. Just be wary and protect yourself.Any advice wanted. We are considering buying land and having a house built. Can anyone offer any advice?
Before ya buy -- have to have a soil researcher come out and determine if the ground is fit for building... Make sure there is a deed and not in the name of some dead person... I do not think a lending company will give out money on undeveloped land -- cash deed.... If you have a well for drinking. -Go to the neighbors and ask for a drink of water -- you will be very unhappy if the water sucks... Same with septic tanks and how good do they drain....Need a land Survey good luck-- their may be other things--ok
Be careful of dishonest contractors. Most people I know who have done that were ripped off by shady contractors, even people who are in the construction business.
Check the future construction plans for your area and include roads too. Good luck. Be careful.

Rod Building...Where is the best place to purchase building supplies? And any other advice for a beginner...?
There are so many places...........
This site has the most brands of blanks and the largest selection: www.versitex.com they also have a wide array of reel seats, guides, etc. This is also a good site for rod building supplies such as glues, thread, epoxy finish, and such
For fly rod components, I like www.rec.com/index.html - this is REC components (recoil guides, which are also popular for spinning and casting) and for fly reel seats
www.cabelas.com has a wide array of begnning ';kits';
for the novice builder as well as a good selection of rod building supplies
May I reccomend that you purchase Tom Kirkman's
Rod Building Guide as this will help you immensely,
just go to Amazon.com and type in Tom Kirkman
You definetely want to visit this site: www.rodbuilding .org
There are many seasoned rod building pros here who will gladly help you out, plus there are some amazing articles
on static guide placement, properly mixing finishes,
splining a blank, ferrules, and much more. Spend some time there, you'll be well rewarded.
I would advise that you don't ';break the bank'; on your fisrt rod,
get a simple kit and try it.
Feel free to e-mail me directly if you have any specific questionsRod Building...Where is the best place to purchase building supplies? And any other advice for a beginner...?
I use mudhole.com for most of my freshwater rod supplies.
http://shop.mudhole.comRod Building...Where is the best place to purchase building supplies? And any other advice for a beginner...?
all i can say is buy good quality gear such as fuji rings and reel seats and also use epoxy resin to finish off the blank and use strong whipping thread
Lots of online places, as mentioned, though I'd recommend you go to a local tackle shop if at all possible, so you can see what you're getting, compare blanks, and get hands-on advice. (At least in So. Cal, over half of the independent tackle shops sell supplies as well as build rods themselves, so you can get good advice there.)
It's probably best if you start by copying a finished rod -- check out a production rod made on the same blank, for details like number and types of guides, spacing, etc., as well as to see what your finished rod will feel like.
As far as advice for a beginner, first thing is to make a durable, usable fishing rod. Don't skimp on the adhesive holding the grip in place -- if that slips you basically have to strip the rod down to re-do it. Make sure the guides are aligned, keep the thread tight when you wrap, no gaps or overlaps, work with clean hands so you don't stain the thread, don't be afraid to undo and redo a wrap if you mess it up. Don't hurry.
Fancy wrapping is nice, but don't worry about the patterns and so on until you can make a functional rod.

For fun check out Golden Witch
neat stuff for rod building, they used to carry vintage agate striper guides.

as for advice, don't be afraid to experiment and mess up.
Don't buy every gizmo they are trying to sell either! I still use a tape player with the cover torn off for a rod dryer motor!
If you can find old cheap rods, pick them up. Sometimes you can salvage neat old materials, and at least have ample rods to practice on.
Sometimes kits are the way to go, not just for ease, but for time savings. Once you have built a few you'll know right off the top of your head what things to buy. In a kit they are supplied. St. Croix rods have nice kits, and I believe Mudhole has some.
Glad to see this question and hope I can be some help. I Build rods, now only part time but have made a full time living at it. One part I enjoy is teaching others, and still do classes from time to time. As far as the best places to go for supplies, the on-line choices already given are all good, the hard part is knowing how to get started and what to purchase. If there is a tackle store in your area that sells supplies hopefully they will be able to help, as this is your best bet.
As far as getting started I recommend a simple project to learn from and one that you are not afraid to make your mistakes on. You may have an old rod that you could rebuild or even try repairing some guides on some old rods that are just standing in a corner of the garage. I've had many people get started this way, you will learn a lot by taking a rod apart and seeing how it was constructed in the first place.
There is some good advise in all of the answers here. Check out all of the resources and use what makes the most sense to you. Books are helpful as a starting point but building rods takes hands on experience, practice, and patience.
I would like to hear from you if I can be any help.
You can also find rod building supplies at:

There are lots of wonderful places that have been listed for supplies, I have used most of them over the years. The one thing I was looking for amongst the answers was a book. Something that I still to this day use is, ';The New Advanced Custom Rod Building'; from Dale P Clemens. I have been through numerous other texts on the subject of rod building and I have found this to be the ';bible'; of rod building. This book covers everything associated with rod building, from tools to threads to spacing etc.....the only thing I have not found there has been info about stand up rods and offshore trolling rods. An excellent read and resource guide. Can be obtained through Amazon.com or almost any other bookstore.

Building a new home? Advice!?
How much money do you need to put down before the home is done? (Builder says 50% of ';upgrades'; due before closing)
Building a small rail around a patio $1600, is that a lot?
Small dog run $750?
Builder borrowing the money with my credit?Building a new home? Advice!?
You have two decent answers already, but there is a little more that needs to be added.
From your description, it sounds like you do not have a construction loan. In some cases when having a house built you get a loan for what will essentially be the entire cost of the house and you give approval to give money to the builder to finance the next portion of the construction.
It sounds like you have picked a model and have made some upgrades (personal touches) to the property. The builder wants 50% of these upgrades paid for, by you, before closing because if you can't complete the purchase for whatever reason, they figure they can get about half of the improvement cost out of the next buyer.
Personally I think those 'upgrades' sound expensive and are easy enough to do on your own once you own the house. I had a significant amount (80 linear feet) of full sized fencing done for $1200. The dog run also sounds overpriced. The kind of options you want to pay for are things that are almost impossible (or very costly) to do afterwards. Making sure there is rough plumbing for a bathroom in the basement if you ever want to finish it, hardwood flooring, etc. are options or upgrades that are probably worth it at the time of construction.
I don't believe the builder is borrowing they money with your credit, but I don't really understand that part of your question.Building a new home? Advice!?
If the builder doesn't have enough money to do the construction then you need to find another. You should have a construction loan that you can pay him as he completes a certain % of the work. You should also ask to see all invoices for the material used, make sure he used them and that they are paid for. I have seen people use a builder and after the home is complete a lein is placed on the home because not all of the material has been paid for. Then the buyer has to try and go after the builder. You should find a different builder.
never give any builder one penny in advance--if you can.
YOU should be using bank $ and
not your own!!! AND
make sure you get a copy of the
contractor's license # and
run a BBB check on him/her
before hiring and
lastly--like big companies do--
get a full total expected price
in advance and completion date.
PUT in your contract,
15% less for every day late and
10% more for every day earlier--
or something like that.
and then, see if you can
find a neutral party who is an expert
to review the job as it is being
finished.

I'm thinking about building a WMD. Any advice?
NOTE: WMD = Woman with Massive D-cups.
Serious answers only please.

Dr Brucker in Fort Wayne, IN made my dream come true for Ds.
Next time--I'm going to get them so big, they say GOODYEAR down the side.I'm thinking about building a WMD. Any advice?
At my age, build me a woman who doesn't get cranky, who gives a mean backrub, and doesn't care if we never go out anymore. Oh, and a C-cup is fine.
Frankenbimbo
Good luck to you. I tried that once and she popped in less than half an hour.
O.o You convince your woman that she should get breast implants. DUh.
I've got massive DD cups, does that help your cause at all?
Show us a photo of your prototype, okay??

Advice on fence-building?
I'm building a welded wire fence to keep my dogs in the yard. I have stairs coming down off the house. They do not have a banister, just wooden steps. Somehow I need to make the fencing ';go'; with the stairs without looking odd. The dogs are blind, so I need to also prevent them from getting on the stairs. I'm going to use a gate. any ideas?Advice on fence-building?
It sounds to me like you want to put the ';gate'; for the stairs at the top of the stairs so you will not have to go down the stairs to open it for the dogs. But then you will also need to close in the stairs.
My first choice would be to not use a fence but a dog run. Its a wire that goes from the house some distance to a post or tree. From that hangs a chain and a spring hasp. You clip the dogs in at the house and they have the width according to the chain and the length of the run.
You may have other reasons for the fence. Could you put the gate at the bottom of the steps? Lastly, you are going to be using posts and rails to hang the welded wire fencing onto. Build similar posts along the side of the steps run the rails diagonally as if it were a handrail and attach your fencing either parallel to the ground or diagonally with the steps.

Does anyone have any advice on how to build a 3 season porch? I have a 13 by 16 foot deck to work with.?
The area is 8 feet 8 inches high against the house and I know that I need some sort of pitch for the roof. I wanted to frame it in with storm doors so that I could put in / take out the glass as necessary.Does anyone have any advice on how to build a 3 season porch? I have a 13 by 16 foot deck to work with.?
I think you need a conservatory type structure in upvc with triple polycarbonate roof french doors and a couple of large opening vents.Start with a concrete base and build a dwarf wall to keep costs down. When using polycarb roof ask for the bronze sort otherwise it gets to hot in your room. The concrete floor will store heat from the sunshine, and in the summer you can open your doors and vents (windows) for ventilation.Does anyone have any advice on how to build a 3 season porch? I have a 13 by 16 foot deck to work with.?
Which season are you skipping? My point is why not(in such a small space) heat %26amp; insulate-a 4 Season Room.
Go to Lowe's or Home Depot, tell them what you have to work with, they will be able to give you ideas.
I'd go with ';the swamp';on this one but I wouldn't do the 1 inch per foot as suggested by billy. That would not be steep enough.instead use the flat roof that drain in the rail./
as far as a pitch usually 1'; for every foot is good but you need to check with local codes...other then that walls on 2 sides and windows and door on the front....stud insulate and drywall.
Unless the roof you build has at least a 4 in 12 inch pitch it will have to be a membrane type roof. Code will not allow shingles applied to less than that because it will leak. But your first question should be what kind of support do I have for the deck? You will change the loads so dramatically that the FIRST proiority is to verify that the deck will carry the loads you intend to put on it. This will be determined by the footing size and depth, number of columns, column size etc. etc. --unless the deck is a cantilever off from the structure's floor system which entails a whole new set of questions. In any case the loads are measured in pounds per square foot and minimums are established by the building codes. These standards vary by region based on snow and wind loads and what the seismic rating is for your area. I Could tell you exactly how to build it if I had complete information about the existing structure, etc.

-Easiest way to start a content site is to install wordpress. Note: with a content site, you will need dedicated hosting as the information and mass of the site can expand quite fast.
Review Sites
Also known as product comparison sites, these sites can be hugely complex (moneysupermarket) or extremely simple. The market is rife with simple, 1 -page product comparison sites. Best thing- they can be about anything. You may have seen a lot about hosting. Each link to the actual product website will have an affiliate id which will tell that site who sent that visitor, and if you secure a sale, you get a commission.
-Easiest way to start a review site is to install wordpress (again)- and install the wpreviewsite plugin. You can also try Joomla! or Drupal. I think they have plugins for this too. Wordpress is ideal here because it is nice and compact and responsive, that's exactly how a review site should be.
Sales Pages
This is obviously only an element of a part, but generally if you create an information product (ebook etc.), all you need is a single sales page to sell it. You can even integrate with your paypal account. Of course, such things come into play as graphic design, sales copy, ghost writing, payment processing, and obviously marketing...it can be expensive if you don't have the skills, but if you invest the money/time well, you can make a ton of money.
-Easiest way to create an information product is to hire 4 people (ghost writer, graphic designer, copywriter, and marketer). It's the easiest way because you don't actually do anything but manage the project and hand money over. To do it yourself would take a lot longer.
Really hope that helped, I used to be baffled when I first started out.I need advice for website building?
I've got a website but not for money, I'm a publisher (google adsense and linkbucks) and earn 2 or 3 dollars per day.
I am making money with a few websites. There are several ways you can too.

you want a good free site builder then you may also give a try to http://www.googlepages.com it is by google so it will definately be cool to work with.
you see if you work with web buliding sites then there may be thousands of peoples with the same design of the page. SO why not to create it ownself.
If you want to create your own web pages you must know some HTML and Css.(goto http://www.w3schools.com ).
I have a designing tip here.
1. Don't experiment(use) with different types of colours. They will just make your page look weired.
2. Try to use simple colours. The Flashy texts are not widely accepted and appericiated.
3. Work with only one colour and its sons. Eg. If you take black then use only the colours like black, grey and others near to black.
4. Make the correct use of pictures. Use only relavant pictures for your page according to a topic.
5. You can also take help of some templates on the internet

Need advice on building a PC for AfterEffects.?
This past year I built a computer for the first time. It was pretty cool I wouldn't say I know a lot about the tech even though I did it.
The PC is a q6600 Quadcore, ASUS P5K3 Deluxe Wifi, 8GB RAM DDR3, Seagate HDD, in NVIDIA GC, and XP 64Bit. Runs pretty well. I'm a graphic designer hoping to get into some Motion Graphic Design. But the it runs slow in AE, or at least the viewport update. Renders fast and fine.
Can you guys just tell me what I need to run fast in the viewport. I'm getting like 1 frame a sec. I'm guessing its my motherboard. Can someone point out a specific motherboard or just tell me a spec of a machine you know runs well. I don't want a big lag when using effects. Thanks.Need advice on building a PC for AfterEffects.?
I completely agree with Alex!
Your computer by far exceeds the requirements for a good graphic designing computer.. Apart from the graphics card evidently.
A good graphics card is vital for graphic designers and is responsible for rendering motion graphics designs, which is what you're doing.
Judging from your high end specs and if you really are a serious and professional graphic designer, you may want to buy NVIDIA's Quadro CX. It's made specifically for the purpose of graphic design (not for playing computer games) and is extremely powerful (But it's a big price easily over 1500 dollars). Everything's gauranteed to run perfectly smooth on it.
Alternatively, you could use other high-end gaming graphic cards like perhaps ATI's Radeon HD 4870 or the GeForce 9000 series. (Between 200 to 550 dollars US)
ATI's Radeon HD 4850 has been known to give good performance costing only 150-180 dollars so if you need to budget, you can look at that too.
Whatever you do, just make sure you have enough power from your power supply.. Perhaps at least 550Watts before you purchase these graphic cards.
I'm sure they'll work out just fine. Hope this helped!Need advice on building a PC for AfterEffects.?
I would actually say its your graphics card, everything else is well above what you need

Need advice on building a fish tank in the wall.?
I want to put one in the wall so that it can be seen from both sides, Kitchen and living room. I believe I will have around 5 inches thick ( wall ) and I may go around 2 to 3 feet long and 2 feet high. Also will salt fish be ok in this small amount of water ( Bio environment ) or should I use Fresh water fish. I will install a good under water filter system or another more expensive type in the wall with door for access. I will frame the it to look like a picture. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks advance
http://www.austinglass.com.au/aquariums.鈥?/a>Need advice on building a fish tank in the wall.?
I don't know of any fish that would do well in a 5'; wide tank. After subtracting for the thickness of the glass, you're down to about 4-1/4'; inside dimension. To get a decent sized tank in a wall, you basically have to build 2 walls side-by-side, equal to the width of the tank minus the thickness of the finish (drywall or paneling). Frame in an opening on both walls, allowing for 2x4's or 2x6's, depending on the weight of the tank, to be installed on edge (tall dimension up and down). Add a piece of plywood on top, then the tank. As to the type of fish, it depends on what equipment you can fit. We just built one for an office, that was trimmed in cherry paneling and solid cherry trim. We made access doors out of cherry, and matching cabinet doors underneath. It looked really great when it was done, although I'd rather have seen the tank full of lobster than the fish he put in there. Hope this helps.Need advice on building a fish tank in the wall.?
you need to make it out of fiberglass... then measure and cut your area out in the wall you might want lights on top of it...you wont see the lights front outside. seal of the tank with some liquid rubber. paint it and dress it up. make sure there's a opening or sort of hidden trap door so you can easily clean the tank.

Need advice on building credit....?
I had a delinquency about 3 years ago on a Wells Fargo credit card that I paid off in full about a year ago, I tried applying for a car loan a while back and they told me “Build up some more credit and come see us again”.
So I tried to apply for a Wal-Mart credit card and was denied, same with a few other cards I tried applying for because of “Credit History”. How am I supposed to re-build my credit if no one will GIVE ME CREDIT!?!?!?!?!?
I need some help on how I can start building my credit up, it seems like if you mess up once you’re destined to have bad credit for the rest of your life because no one is willing to give you a credit card because of one mistake that was paid in full….Need advice on building credit....?
Not impossible my friend...you just need some patience and diligence and you'll be up and running in no time....for now don't apply for anymore credit until you clean up your report.
1. Order your credit reports from the 3 bureaus
www.equifax.com
www.experian.com
www.transunion.com
If you're ordering for the first time, get your score (for a fee) from Equifax as their scoring matters most.
2. Make copies of your report and put the originals in a binder. On the photocopied reports use a highlighter and check for any incorrect, outdate, false, etc...info
3. Download a dispute letter(s) from the credit bureaus website and list anything that is wrong. Mail them to their office(s). They have 30 days to reply.
4. If they will not remove something that is not yours or too old (%26gt; 7 years) as them for a debt validation. This may take an additional 30 days.
5. Once the 'baddies' come off, take care not to let any of your other accounts fall into that predicament.
6. If you haven't already make sure your existing accounts are current and paid on time ALWAYS.
7. Get a secured credit card with www.capitalone.com or www.mastercard.com for like $500-1000 or more if you can and use it sparingly. Charge like $50 on the card each month and pay it in FULL and on TIME. Make sure you do this for a minimum of 6 months so that you estabish a positive repayment history.
8. Problem with just letting them (collections) 'fall off' is that they may never. You may get sued before that...that's where you suddenly get a summons to appear in court and a judgment for collection against you.
For collection items...pay them but get a 'pay for delete' from the collection agency in WRITING...they'll delete it after you pay and it will help your credit score.Need advice on building credit....?
it is hard to come back from, but not impossible. get some bills put in your name. i was going to say get a credit card and pay it off each month but if you cant get approved anywhere that could be a problem. You could get married. If they have a high credit score it will even out with yours.
Good luck
you can improve your credit at this site:

Re-building is always like a catch 22 situation, can get it, because you don't have it, and you don't have it, because you can't get it. The way you rebuild/reestablish credit is buy applying for a secured credit card, that is secured by your own money, at this time, you will not qualify for a unsecured credit card or loan, so please stop applying for them, you are only pulling your score down more, and more by inquiries accomulating on your report everytime you apply. You should also get a secured loan, pay on time over a period of a year, and your credit should approve. Also, I would suggest you read articles on credit, credit history, rebuilding credit, bad credit and the like, this will give you a better understanding of credit and how to go about rebuilding it. Books like Stephen Snyders '; Life after Bankruptcy ';, and Suze Orman books are excellent sources of information and tips on rebuilding credit, and not falling into the credit trap again. It can be done, it won't be easy, and it will take time and patient. But it will be well worth it in the long run to have great credit, peace of mind, and the satisfaction that you are credit worthy.
Good luck you can do it.................................
Look for a secured credit card. This is where you place $250 / 300 or so in a bank account and that bank gives you a credit card with $250 / 300 limit. FYI most secured credit cards charge a initial fee.
Use the card wisely. If you pay cash for groceries, use the card. Then go home and make an online payment to the card from your checking account.
It will take time, but eventually you will get offers for unsecured cards. The rates will be high, so don't carry balances.
Make a budget, make sure you save a little and live within that budget. Your credit will improve, you just have to work at it.
To raise your credit score you need to do two things:
1 - add positive things to your credit records. Such as paying your bills on time!
2 - Remove negative things from your records. These may be mistakes made by the credit report companies or bills you haven’t paid!
If your problems aren’t too bad or too complicated than you can do this yourself. This review site gives you e-books to explain the process and guide you through it:
%26lt;%26gt;http://www.onlinebestinformation.com/cre…
if your problem is complex - or you just don’t have the time or patience to do it yourself then you will want to use a credit repair company. This review site will guide you to the three best companies to use:
%26lt;%26gt;http://www.onlinebestinformation.com/cre…
Good Luck!
Don't make another credit mistake by applying for ''department store'' credit cards. They have, hands down, THE worst interest rates in the market. I had your same problem and I got a credit card, it had a $1000 limit, from Orchard Bank. They advertise that they help people with not so great credit earn credit. Read the paperwork, if you have to pay a annual fee, forget it. I believe the best way, from experience, is to try using the credit on a regular basis. I would charge ONLY my gas. I would take the cash it would normally cost and put it in a gas envelope. When I got my statement, I had the cash to cover the monthly charges, THUS avoiding any finance charges. So every month, I would charge near $300 in gas, but turn around and pay it off every month. Before I knew it, my credit limit was raised and I was able to get a car financed at a decent rate last year when I bought a new car. Good luck.
So I tried to apply for a Wal-Mart credit card and was denied, same with a few other cards I tried applying for because of “Credit History”. How am I supposed to re-build my credit if no one will GIVE ME CREDIT!?!?!?!?!?

Good luck.
Need advice on building a dog pen?
I am looking to relocate my dog pen. And I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions on what I could put on the bottom. Besides concrete or stepping stones. Something they can't dig up or move easily because my dogs are big diggers.
I was thinking of just taking chain link and putting it around the bottomon the grass and just letting the grass grow so that it will be harder for them to dig there.Need advice on building a dog pen?
You could always sink in the chain link about 18 inches below the ground. Hopefully the dogs will think it's bottomless and give up on trying to dig under it.
EDIT: To prevent the dogs from climbing out just put a roof on the pen. One of my friends has a couple rottweilers and sometimes keeps them in a large chin link pen that has a concrete floor and sturdy wooden roof.Need advice on building a dog pen?
We used pavers and set them in and locked them in with sand. You can do the same with brick. Easier than mortaring so a do-it-yourselfer can do it, looks nicer then concrete and holds up well. They use these frequently for driveways. Dogs can't dig them up either - they lock in nicely. They come in many colors and are non-slip and easy to clean.
I'd be concerned the dogs would catch a foot or pull out a toenail on the chain link and that the peeing would kill the grass.
There is also an artificial turf material you can get for runs but potentially it could be pulled up.
There's a reasonably heavy wire fencing we always called ';hardware cloth'; that would work the way you are thinking of with the chain link. That would be easier on their feet ( and yours) to walk on. I have the same problem. My dog digs under the fence and escapes. Even if I go around the perimeter with the hardware cloth that still leaves the gate into the yard for him to dig under. What to do there?
I would hate to be a dog who has to live on a concrete or rock surface ...especially when it's hot. So I would say go the grass route.
how about largeish rocks and some dog repelent there so they wont go digging there again
most breeders use river rock because it is easy for clean up and sanitation

Any advice on building a Magic the Gathering Deck with these cards?
The Black Spy, no doubt as part of his eternal war against the descendants of Adam, has bestowed upon me the following Magic: The gathering cards:
Creatures:
preacher x4
Resistance Fighter x4
Artifacts:
Skull Catapult x4
Spells:
Counterspell x3
Desertion x2
Diplomatic Immunity x3
Disenchant x4
Dominate x4
Swords to Plowshares x2
Ray of Command x4
Healing Salve x4
Non-Basic Lands:
Strip Mine x1 (it's the cool Antiquities one with the little tower at the bottom of the pic)
Tundra x4
I'd like to build a deck out of them, but I've been out of magic long enough to forget what a good deck looks like. Any insight, advice, or actual deck builds using some/most of these cards would be most welcome.Any advice on building a Magic the Gathering Deck with these cards?
You would need about all of those cards to make a deck that's valid for tournament play (minimum of 60 cards). You have too few creatures, though. Get some Serra Angels and Mahamoti Djinns.natural facial

Some advice on building a super computer?
I am looking to build a computer and I am willing to spend 2-4k on it. I need a powerful computer for 3d Animation rendering.
This is about what I am looking at:
1-2 Tar of memory
4-5Gig ram
8900 Nvidia Graphics card
and I have not decided upon a processer.
I am aware that Windows Vista/XP can't handle more then a 3gig ram so I am prepaired to have the computer run Linix. The problem is that I don't know which versions of linix can run that much memory.
So I guess I have three questions:
1: What version of linix can run %26gt;3gig ram (slash which do you recommend?)
2: Is watter cooling worth it? I don't know much about it. Like, does it break often? Is it cost effective? Does it work better then just a fan?
3: Can you forsee any problems.
4: Where can I find some good lit on building my own computer? Some advice on building a super computer?
You're misinformed on a couple of issues.
1) XP and Vista are both capable of using well over 3GB of RAM, you just have to buy the 64-bit versions as opposed to the lesser 32-bit versions, which can only use 3.3 GB of RAM.
2) There is no such thing as an nVidia 8900. The nVidia 8 series stops at the 8800s.
Ok, with that cleared up, here's some other things.
-Water cooling is not really worth it unless you intend to heavily overclock (and I mean REALLY heavily overclock) your components. The risk for leaks that could damage components is too high. It does cool better than fans, but just isn't worth it unless you really, really NEED great cooling.
-Good lit on building your own computer...this is a decent page for beginners: http://static.tigerdirect.com/html/PCbui鈥?/a>
-If you're really looking to build a ';supercomputer,'; a quad-core processor is probably a must. I recommend an Intel Core 2 Quad of the Q6600, Q6700, Q9300, Q9450, or Q9550. These are all great for heavy multitasking and processor-intensive tasks.
-For 3D animation rendering, you'll need a good workstation graphics card, which may cost you quite a bit. Here's a cheaper model that suffices for most tasks: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as鈥?/a> (820$).
Here's a reallllllly nice workstation graphics card that will handle pretty much every 3D task in the world. Only buy this if you need some serious horsepower in the graphics department. (1350$): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as鈥?/a>Some advice on building a super computer?
1. don't know
2. yes, no, if you like your chips not deep fried, yes.
3. no
4. google
Ring up Nasa lol :P
Its only worth watercooling if you are going to Overclock. Otherwise stock fans or some aftermarket air cooling such as the Thermaltake heatsinks ect. Watercooling obviously has more matiance than air cooling %26amp; yes it works better than air. But there is no point unless you are going to overclock.. unless you just want your pc to look pretty.
Also for 2 - 4 k You could get a much better computr than that.
This is what I would go for
A Q6600 With watercooling overclocked to around 4ghz
4 GIG Of corsair dominator ram
2 Raptor x drives in Raid zero
A new Nvidia card or 2 doubt that two would have much more effect than 1 when gfx editing.
Case
Powersupply
Dvd drive
You could get all that for around 2 k which I would think would be more than enough for animation rendering.
Xp on a system may be problematic in the future. To make a big rig such as this and eventually not be able to get drivers.
http://blogs.technet.com/seanearp/archiv鈥?/a>
lists the current Vista OS's ram max.
For animation: Try a high-end Quadro or FireGL card (they can get expensive). but that's if you're going to use the box to work on.
If its just going to be a render box, get a low end vcard whatever will display a page and just splurge on a nice Battery Backup, Quad CPU or dual quad.
maya, zb, 3ds, lt can all run in 64bit.. not sure about any others you may use.
I don't have too much experience using linux.. I just use it when fixing M$ systems.
Windows Vista 64-bit Edition can handle more then 3 GBs of RAM. It fact the Business and Ultimate Editions (64-bit ones) can handle ';128GB+';. I believe there's still a glitch when installing though so you have to install with 2 GBs or less then once up and upgraded to SP1 you can install the rest of your memory. I would recommend 4x2GB sticks of OCZ DDR2 800 MHz memory, GeForce GTX280 and as far as CPU I'm a AMD fanboy, but I'm going to leave that one alone :P. Also besure to get a GOOD power supply, do not cheap out on power supplies, a bad one will cause all sorts of problems. Also I wouldn't recommend watercooling for you first build. If you haven't decided on a case a decent case that doesn't cost too much is the Cooler Master RC-690-KKN1-GP. Just remember when building it to not get upset if there are problems, because you will overlook them, trust me lol.
1) You dont 'need' linix to run over 4gb of ram, you just need a 64bit operating system. Such as Windows XP 64bit, Vista 64bit, etc
2) Skip the water cooling unless you really plan to overclock your system. Even with a water/liquid coolant you will still need fans to cool the rest of the system.
3) Linix may make it hard to do 3D applications due to low main stream support. Mac or Windows is the way to go.
4) tomshardware.com offers plenty of research on overclocking, cpu comparing charts.
Bottom line stick with Windows or Mac. Memory is common to hit 8gigs on standard motherboard with a Windows 64bit OS. Grab a quad core something or other, 3D work is one of the few areas that really gain from the extra power.
';I am aware that Windows Vista/XP can't handle more then a 3gig ram ';
First of all, that statement is 100% false. Any 32bit OS is going to be limited to 4gb of physicaly memory it can address, and the first 500ish is reserved for system, so you will see 3.5 gb.
However, Microsoft makes 64bit operating systems and has for some time.
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit can handle up to 128 GB of memory. Whoever told you Windows Vista cant handle more than 3gb of memory is out of the loop. For a complete list of memory limits within windows, check out this URL:

Question 2
Is water cooling worth it?
Unless you are going to overclock, no. The only other advantage watercooling offers is near very low noise, but this can be achieved with something like a zalman flower cooler at about 10 percent of the price. Water cooling has drawbacks as well. Price, complexity, maintenace, case real estate - all things not required by a good old fashion chunk of copper.
3/ Do I forsee problems?
I do forsee problems because, no offence, based on your questions you seem 100% newb at this and want to build a very expensive high end PC. If you dont know what you are doing you could easily turn your CPU into a $1500 paperweight.
I dont want to discourage you from building your own PC , I'm just a little concerned about the amount of $$$ you are talking about spending and, based on your questions, appear to have never built a computer. You might want to spend an extra $50 and have someone do it for you, or do it together so you can learn.
4/ There are tonnes of books, websites on the internet. The best way to learn is through experience, take things apart, put it back together. Which you are talking about which is great - seriously - I just hate to see you wreck such an expensive system.
Just as you wouldnt learn to drive in a Ferrarri Enzo, you probably dont want your first computer build to be worth $4000 :)
Good luck.

Theres two boys I'm interested in getting to know..but I don't know what to say to them. Im not good at starting or making conversations, its not that I get nervous around them, but I'm not good at making conversations.I want to get close to them both, because I believe that they are compatible with my personality..but its just a matter of spending more time with them ((which i barely have) ..How do I make the best of my conversations with them and get to know the most I could about them withouth coming onto them too strongly? What do I ask specifically? I know I have to be patient, and the friendships with build itself with time..but..I'm not. Is there anything I can do? I have only watched and helped another friend build his computers. I'm about to go at it alone. I've selected all the different pieces based on my needs and my budget. I just need someone to proof what i have selected, and let me know if they will all mesh together. All of the items are off of newegg.com.

It would be a good rig with the parts you selected, but I have a few recommendations.
First off, that is a very high end video card, it would be a better use of money to go down one step on the graphics card and use that extra $75-100 for the CPU. You would get a higher frame rate from a slightly less powerful gpu combined with something like a 3 or 3.16ghz cpu, and for roughly the same amount.
Secondly, The 7050 chipset is meant for budget machines, if you can find a mobo with a X series Intel chipset, it would be more well suited.
I know people are going to rip you for having Vista, but modern graphics cards need Vista to use their memory allocating drivers correctly. For instance, my x1600 in my laptop allocates 256mb in XP, and 769mb in Vista. It runs significantly better with Vista. Anything older than a x1000 or 6 series Nvidia would run better on XP, thats why people have the idea XP is better.Need advice on building my first computer?
don't do what that other guy says
you can overclock your cpu
it means you increase your cpu speed over the original speed it had
and also
keep that 4870
i loved that graphics card
(even though i have a 4870x2 and it has double performance)
Hey.. just dont get pretty confused with this!!!

I am building my comic book collection from scratch and would like some advice, what are the 'best'?
I have 'The Watchmen' by Alan Moore, 'The Crow' by James O'Barr and the Marvel 'Civil War' and Planet Hulk. What other other quality works? what about the DC suneater series 'The Final Night'?I am building my comic book collection from scratch and would like some advice, what are the 'best'?
';Kingdom Come'; by Alex Ross and Mark Waid. Elseworlds Graphic Novel. About DC's heroes in the near future, and what happens if the ';new breed'; of heroes get too aggressive. Also, Superman has some major issues. Great battle scenes, fantastic artwork, excellent, excellent story!
';Marvels'; by Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross. Simple graphic novel about a reporter who follows the activites of super heroes and battles, etc., as seen through his ';eye';. Well done, Marvel comics.
';Batman: ';RedRain,Crimson Mist';, etc. Elseworlds. What if Batman..becomes a Vampire? Great artwork.
Justice League: The Nail. Elseworlds. What if Superman...never existed or joined the Justice League? Haven't read it, but I know it has received a lot of good reviews.
';The Infinity Gauntlet';. Thanos mad quest for the Infinity Gems. Jim Starlin. 'Nuff said.
Superman: A Man for All Seasons. Again, another I have not read, but know is highly praised.
These are the ones I can suggest.I am building my comic book collection from scratch and would like some advice, what are the 'best'?
Ranma 1/2 is the best manga ever (personal opinion) you can watch it on line before buying on ebay http://ranmahentai.ranma.ws/RanmaManga/i鈥?/a>
Best is personal opinion :) i prefer Marvel over DC due to continuity and better cross over storylines (usually). if you're starting from scratch try the 'ULTIMATE' Marvel lines - Spiderman, X-men, Fantastic Four etc. Marvel rewrote these ditching the cold war/ nuclear threat and updated it with genetics (genetically altered spider instead of an irradiated one) etc. Additionally, this 'ULTIMATE' universe has had less contact with alien cultures unlike the core 'MARVEL' universe
When I was collecting I was really into Batman. I expanded to Batman related titles and to other DC titles. I was always a fan of DC characters, but collected some Spiderman and other titles. If you are starting Batman then I recommend, ';The Greatest Batman Stories Ever Told,'; ';A Death in the Family,'; and ';Batman: Knightfall'; volumes just to name a few.
Batman: Hush is awesome and a shining example of the current Batman books.
Kingdom Come is a must for any superhero collection.
If you enjoyed the Crow you'll like any of the Punisher issues by Garth Enis especially Born.
Star Wars Tales are great comics if your a Star Wars fan.
Dr Doom/Dr Strange Triumph and the Torment is a great look at one of the greatest super villains.

Advice on building a home theatre?
I'm a newbie in stereo. Now that economy is so bad, we shall stay home and watch tv to minimize expenses. Thus, I want to remodel the family room to put in a good size tv and a stereo system. And I need advice.
First... I don't want to spend too much (are all good quality speakers cost over $100?) and I don't like LOUD music or sound... I just like to have some good, crispy, clear quality sound and wonder if I should do 5.1 or 7.1? The room is open into kitchen and it's about the size of 304 sq ft . since it's open to the kitchen and the kitchen is about another additional 144 sq ft... so what kind of system do I need? How many watt speaker should I get? What brand of receiver (or is amplifier?) and speakers should I get and what is the ';watt-age'; for the amp and speakers? I'm sorry being so clueless... I hope someone can share some of their expert advice on this subject. Thanks in advance.Advice on building a home theatre?
you said you want just a stereo system which means a 2 speaker set up. my stereo set up is made up of a rotel integrated amplifier, a rotel cd player and a pair of bower's and wilkins floorsatnding speakers. the speaker costs around $800. you can't get a good sounding speaker for $100. setting a surround 5.1 or 7.1 would be more expensive. if you want good music, my stereo set up is all you need bro.Advice on building a home theatre?
In building a home theater you should have a budget you want to spend for the complete system. Here my recommendation: 1, Panasonic Plasma tv 50'; 1080P for about $1,000 2, Onkyo HT-S6200 for about $600, a 7.1 receiver with True HD is dolby or DTS, and 7.1 speaker set up 3. Panasonic blu-ray disc player DB-60 for about $200 at Costco. Plasma still has the best picture quality than a LCD or LED tv (September issue of home theater magazine compared the Panasonic Plasma 42'; to a Sony, LG, Toshiba and Vizio 40'; LCD. The plasma was the top choice out of the box without any further adjustment and the only one that is a THX certified. You can go online and read the complete review. Hope this will help you out.

Advice on building a nested multi-select View with MySQL 5.x?
I need to build a view out of a table structure that I don't have the option of changing, as it's in use by another application. Here's a snippet from the actual data...
TABLE users
user_id
username
password
email

Now, let's say that profile_fields is populated with something like this...
field_id = 1
field_name = 'firstname'
field_id = 2
field_name = 'lastname'
And profile_values has
field_id = 1
user_id = 1
value = 'Bob'

user_id = 1
value = 'Smith'
And users has...
user_id = 1
username = 'bsmith72'
password = 'yeah-right'
email = 'bob@example.com'
What I need to do is build a select statement that will return columns and rows like this...

Advice on building credit?
Hi. I have bad credit. My score is 530. I am now debt free, and have learned to be very responsible with money and paying things on time.
I've decided to take out a secured credit card from Bank of America to rebuild my credit now that I am much more responsible with money. Someone told me it's actually a better idea to have 2 of these cards, and pay both off in full every month, to build credit faster. Is this true?
Also, I've heard another thing that builds credit is your ratio between what you owe and your limit. So someone told me with a secured credit card, although I only have to put down I think $300 for it, it'll be better to open one with a higher limit. Any truth to this?
I look forward to some helpful advice!Advice on building credit?
In order to build credit, you must have open accounts in good standing in order to do that, so yes the idea of 2 secured cards is a good idea. Also, 30% of your score is that ratio of credit available to use to credit used. The higher this ratio, the better it helps your score.Advice on building credit?
A ';Secured card'; is probably good considering your history, but move to a regular one say in like 6 months or so.
Don't borrow more than like 25% of your credit limit, and then pay like 3-4 times (or more) above the the monthly payment that appears on each months statement.
Most single monthly payments barely cover the interest and insurance on the account, if you carry insurance.
I don't know as I fully agree to the fully paying off a balance every month as it building credit faster. The KEY is to have a loan, say $2000, and pay like $200 a month till its paid off or down to a much lower amount, and continue using it. That is what builds your credit rating as it demonstrates a payment history on an open account balance, and that you payed ON TIME each month, and MORE than the minimum.
Too many credit cards is seen as an INCREASED RISK. Whether you use them or not, just because once you have 2 or 3 more credit accounts opened, even though there is no balance...the companies KNOW that you COULD at any time do so. So that can be a downer on your credit score without even doing anything, REALLY.
Stick to the (1) card, and move on to an unsecured one say after 6 months to a year, and manage it VERY WELL and ALWAYS pay on time.
A Company will increase your credit line as you prove your worthiness and consistency, and lower your monthly interest rates as well as your FICO score increases.
Another thing that REALLY helps is job stability (not hopping around) and a residence address of 3 years or more. Again, this adds a (+) to your score and credit worthiness.
Many.....MANY employers use your credit score as a character reference before hiring you for a job and consider this to be more powerful than a personal reference(s) on a resume. Money management tells more about a person than probably anything else we do in everyday life.
Believe it or not , a persons credit score and signature is 2 of the most important assets you have.
So, build that score carefully and solidly, and you will be rewarded in the future with higher credit limits, many credit choices, and much lower rates than the average consumer.

Advice on building a new computer?
Hi everyone,
My current computer, which I built in 2003, is currently on its last legs. I only build a new computer once every 3-4 years or so, so when I build one, I like to spend a little bit more money for parts that won't be outdated as soon as I buy them and parts that will last.
I spent some time reading reviews and putting parts together. I was originally planning on spending around $1000, but after picking out the parts, the total came out to be around $1200-$1300, which is manageable.
I don't really play many computer games anymore, but when I do play them, they are pretty graphic intensive (flight simulator, company of heroes, etc) and I would like to enjoy them when I play them. I also work from home most of the time, so it is very important that I have a computer that is reliable. I am not planning on overclocking or messing around with any of the factory settings. I have been building computers for myself for over 10 years, so I am very comfortable with putting the computer together.
I would very much appreciate it if someone can please look over my wishlist and let me know if the selection that I made will work well? Also, for the motherboard that I selected, once prices on the other I7 chips come down, is there much room for me to put a faster chip into this motherboard?
Here is the list of the parts that I was planning on buying:
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C8D
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

well thas a heck of a nice machine! I would hope you have picked out a good CPU heat sink/fan..(Zalman 9900?...Thermalright Ultra 120?)...that chip gets hot! I like PC power %26amp; cooling for a PSU, 750W is good. I think a bit more hard drive is in order...look at newegg.com for a WD 640Gig or 750 for the most bang for the buck. I assume you will be using a 64 bit OS? if your going to 6Gb of RAM. Again...nice machine! Good luck!

Advice with building musle... Please help!?
I'm 17 and I've been going to the gym 3 times a week doing resistance machines to build muscle. The trainer at the gym hasn't set me up to do free weights so I'm wondering can you gain much muscle from resistance machines or do I need free weights? Also Ive been doing this every other day doing a full body workout - I'm in the gym for about 1hr 30mins however Ive heard that splitting up the muscle groups for each workout is more effective or does this only true with free free weights?
If i did do a split Id only be in the gym for about 40mins doing resistance machines for just say my back, this doesn't sound enough to me? Any advice appreciatedAdvice with building musle... Please help!?
well okay. i am 16 and i go to the gym everyday but sunday. and like one day i do upper body the next i do lower body. and repeat. and on saturdays i do cardio like running and biking or swimming. and it seems to work really good for me. also i suggest using creatine. you take like a teaspoon before your workout and it just is like night and day for me.Advice with building musle... Please help!?
Free weights are key I found. I do upper body one day and lower the next. With curls I do what's called the pyramid. Start with your max weight or 2-5 less than max weight and curl it as many times as you can, when you can no longer do it grab the next weight down-do that as many times as you can-continue this until you are at about 2.5-5 pounds, sounds silly but works pretty good. Doing bench or squats anything heavy that you are underneath always have a spotter. Remember your last rep-last time you lift it-is doing the most good for muscle building.
machines take away ur CORE muscles, they give u form...dats why free weights are better, cuz u need to use ur core muscles to mantain the form the machine provided, and still lift the weight.
Yeah Free weights are the best way and most effective way to build muscle. You should split your workouts in to muscle groups if you plan on going every day, but if you are only going 3 days a week you would be fine doing a full body workout. They is much more I could say but it would take to long so please follow this link it will help amazingly. http://www.musclegaintips.com/
actually alternate do upper body one day let your body rest the next by doing lower body and very important after lifting weights you need to refuel so check so google 'after workout after weight lifting meal' or something like that to rebuild your muscles.
If you are really interested in building muscle then you should aim for higher weight for shorter amounts of time (less reps). The difference between free weighting and machines is mostly just in your head, its all resistance for your muscles which is exactly what you want. Make sure you are eating at least 120-140 grams of protein a day. I would go more than 3 times a week, do lower body 3 days and upper body 3 days if you can.
well brah...
you can do it either way...
personally... i prefer free weights... but that's just me...
also... you have to remember to have your daily dose of ';dude/brah';...
saying ';dude'; or ';brah'; less than 30 times a day is unacceptable
If i did do a split Id only be in the gym for about 40mins doing resistance machines for just say my back, this doesn't sound enough to me? Any advice appreciatedAdvice with building musle... Please help!?

Advice on building a pation bench?
I am looking to build a square patio with pavers, outlined by benches on 2 ends. What I would like to do is build a short pillar at each corner and use a cedar board as the seating surface (probably 2x12x12'). Looking to use pavers to create the pillar as well. This board would rest on the pillar but would still have an additional 2 pavers and a top cap.
I'm sure I will have to mortar, but how will that work with the wood? Should I seal the wood before? How large of a paver should I use for the pillars? Is a 12'; board wide enough to sit on? Any other advice would be appreciated!Advice on building a pation bench?
You can double seal the piece of wood before (so everything will be protected )then put block brick, it comes in different colors, build the column bricks then put galvanized metal with holes inside the mortar to secure the wood with bolts and it'll be easier to replace in case it breaks (better than putting the piece of wood inside )and then i'd fill the inside of the brick with concrete to make sure that the brick mortar wont brake with the vibrations of the wood after that i would seal everything with a strong weatherproof sealer, good luck

Advice for building confidence and lessening shyness and nervousness?
I'm 17 and I like this girl a lot that I've gone on 3 dates with. Problem is I'm really shy so I haven't held her hand or kissed her. So I think she thinks I just want to be friends. I also have a hard time talking to her and idk why becuz she's super nice, funny, outgoing, easy going, and everything. I think I have troubles because I get so nervous. I want to be able to talk to her and hold hands and kiss but my shyness is really holding me backAdvice for building confidence and lessening shyness and nervousness?
How did you go on three dates with her if you are so shy? Good going on that front at least!
I would try sitting or standing close to her without holding her hand. Closer than you would a regular female friend. You'd be entering into her ';personal zone'; and that would communicate something to her--as in ';I'm interested!';
A gaze into her eyes is also effective. I think not kissing or holding hands for the first three dates in *perfect* timing to start working toward the physical level of dating, so you have been inadvertently stellar due to your shyness!
Sitting and standing close and then perhaps an ';accidental'; brush on the hand can lead to more--either she'll take your hand or you'll build the confidence to hold hers.
I don't know if it helps but to be nervous is VERY normal and kudos to you for trying to get past it. I know many men who were extremely nervous at age 17 but got through it. The point is to try it--you won't die of embarrassment if it doesn't go perfectly and if things do go well right away then good for you! Keep at it one step at a time.Advice for building confidence and lessening shyness and nervousness?

Advice on BUILDING a college Aeronautical Engineering Laboratory?
I am presently a graduating aeronautical engineering student here in the Philippines. Before we graduate, our batch is tasked to have a final project for the benefit of the aeronautical engineering department.
I was planning to propose to build a very own AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING LABORATORY in a medium sized area (around 75-150 sq. meters) which will contain the following in the 2 levels:
Level 1
- Briefing Room stationed with 3 computers installed with design-related programs, references and for the use of the course organization officers
- a mini-library which will house all reference books, compilation of project reports and review materials.
Level 2:
- 1 Wind Tunnel (subsonic)
- 1 Wing Rib Tester
Can anyone recommend some equipment to add to make not-so-big aeronautical laboratory be educational to the course itself? I would really prefer adding more equipment which will be advantageous in learning subjects such as a/c structures, propulsion and instrumentation.
Thank you very much!Advice on BUILDING a college Aeronautical Engineering Laboratory?
i would put the library and briefing room upstairs and the wind tunnel and rib tester downstairs.
you are going to operate and move a lot of heavy equipment, so it would be cheaper and make a lot more sense to move the testing level to the ground. you are also going to be moving wings, ribs, models etc in and out - alot easier if its on the ground :)
good luck with your question.Advice on BUILDING a college Aeronautical Engineering Laboratory?
I suggest adding a room for maintenance testing so engineers can see how their designs affect the way they are serviced in the field. Many times critical components are insanely hard to get to for the mechanics, so designing with that in mind will save costs/down time down the road.natural facial

Advice on Building and Hosting a Website? Need Help.?
I am a beginner and would like to build and design a simple website. I am most interested in my content and functionality than the graphics. So, does anyone know of any simple to use website building software that is inexpensive or free? Any suggestions for software that also provides for functionality modules such as comments by visitors on articles, discussion forum, classified postings (e.g., product for sale, job postings, etc.), etc. Does anyone have any suggestions for good web hosting companies? I plan on doing the work myself. However, if I hired a website developer for a simple website, how much would that cost ($/project, $/hr, etc.)? Any suggestions on finding good and inexpensive website developers?Advice on Building and Hosting a Website? Need Help.?

Advice on building abdominal and pectoral muscles.?
I am 14, 5'8 135-140 pounds. I have no problem with biceps and triceps because pushups, football, other physical activities have always allowed me to maintain a good amount of muscle in my arms, but I just want to build some more ab and chest muscles. Currently my abs are a very lightly defined 6 pack - you can feel it alright, but cant see it that well - and my chest isnt really fat but doesnt really have that much muscle either. Any tips?Advice on building abdominal and pectoral muscles.?
why dont you just build your whole body and everything will fall into place.

Advice on building a custom pc?
I'm about to take into building a pc. I have a lot of experience when it comes to tweaking old heaps of junks (both my own and friends) to 'better' pcs. At the minute I have a Dell Diemension 4600 - standard spec - intel pentium 4 processor 3.00ghz (single-core), 512mb (2x256mb) ddr ram, standard, video card, dvd rom, etc.
Anyway after four long years, the latter of which has been 'stressful' I've decided it's time to change!
So I think a custom PC is the way to go. You can get a great PC for the fraction of a brand name pc.
I've made a list on newegg which is
here(*link below). which includes Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz, G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400), Intel BOXDP35DPM LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard, Western Digital Caviar SE WD5000AAJS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive (X2), SAPPHIRE 100218L Radeon HD 2600XT 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 and other bits.

hey man, everything in your list is compatible. just a comment about your video, i think that's in the mid-range level? if you're in to gaming and stuff the demands a lot of the from the graphics, i think you should at least get an HD 3870 card, that's gonna last at least for a year. :)Advice on building a custom pc?
If you'll mainly be video editing, you might want to check if your software will make use of a quad-core processor, and maybe get a q6600 or other quad-core instead of the e8400 if it does.
Everything looks good just a Power supply and a case.

Advice regarding building new computer?
Hi,
I'm planning on ordering the parts to build a new desktop computer, while I can identify the basic parts (CPU, PSU, GPU, Mobo, etc) and I know alot about the compatability and stuff, I really do not feel confident enough to build the machine myself, I will be ordering the parts (mainly) from Newegg, and then taking it to a local store and having it built for like 45 bucks an hour ish. The price will probably be around 3 grand total, but thats still about half of what I would pay if I ordered it through Dell or alienware or something. The only thing I wont be benefiting from is a warranty (of course newegg has the standard return policy incase one of the pieces is damaged and i need to have it replaced). My question is, what is a good way for someone like me who has computer experience but isn't very experienced with computer BIOS or the actual setting up of the hardware inside the tower to determine if theres a hardware problem after I order the parts?Advice regarding building new computer?
just buy it from cyberpowerpc.com they basically have everything, they build it for u

Advice on building good relationship with nanny?
I am a work-at-home mom who will be going back to work shortly. Our new nanny will be starting.
I would really like us to have a good working relationship and be on the best terms. For her, I would like this to be a very positive work experience and as she has been looking for a long term position, that she will stay with us for many years to come.
I have had some pretty miserable bosses before so I understand that her happiness or lack of it at work largely will be in my hands.
Parents - Any tips for me?
Nannies - Any particular reasons why you would choose to leave a job? Or what makes your job especially difficult? How could the parents help to make life easier?Advice on building good relationship with nanny?
My wife is a nanny and here are what I think you should keep in mind
1) come home on time. She hates when her bosses don't come home on time and then want a long report of the day.
2) figure out a holiday schedule ahead of time
3) have a money cup so she do actives with the kids
4) don't pry into her person life
5) keep in mind it's a job for her and may not be interested in family gatherings. If she does come to a birthday party or something like that she should not be working unless your paying her.
6) if you want her to take the kids out then you should pay something for gas or provide a car.Advice on building good relationship with nanny?
I am a nanny-worked for many families (and I have kids of my own). There is tons of advice to give!! First, since you will be there with the nanny, don't make it awkward! You need to seperate yourself from the kids while the nanny is there (let her know if you want to eat lunch with them, play with them at certain times). Make your kids aware that nanny is in charge when she is there, they don't need to run to you for everything, and if nanny says no you need to say no too! Both of you need to be agree on rules and consequences for the kids- and stick with it. Let nanny get out with the kids and go on excursions (being away from you helps her relationship with your kids and lets her breath not being under the magnifying glass all the time). Having nanny and mom home at the same time is rough! Second, treat her like a real employee just like at your own job...be clear on start times and end imes and stick with it, let her know asap if you are late. If you are late pay her time and a half. Giver her a christmas bonus/gift each year (great bosses give 1-2 week salary) and a 4 % or more pay increase on her anniversary each year (if you like her and want to keep her, if she's ontime, etc.). Plus a pay increase if you have another child. (nannies will almost always leave if they get more money elsewhere!). 1-2 weeks paid vacation is always a great perk, I never worked fulltime for someone who didn't offer that! And give her advanced notice of when you will be on vacation and will not need her(but in which case you still need to pay her for). There is a book out there for employers of nannies that staes all this as well, I think it is called the Nanny Handbook???
how old is the baby?
Do you want a live in nanny??
I was a live in nanny. I loved the kids but the family i lived with had two nannies one for the biy who was 10 and me to look after the 10 month old. i left because the family said i would get 2 days off a week. i worked with them for 2 months and i only ever got one day off. and the pay was crap i got $150 aus a week and i worked 56hrs a week. if you want to know anymore feel free to ask me
Hi there and congrats on going back to work. I am a nanny and some ideas i have are:
1. Treat her as one of the family. No one likes to be treated as the help.
2. Make sure you have a contract that outlines all of your expectations as well as her. This helps with any communication down the line. www.nannycontracts.com, is a great place to get one if you need a great one. there are things you probably didn't think of before.
3. Be understanding to her ideas when it comes to your child, sometimes other people know different thing to stimulate the child's mind.
4. If you don't like the way she is doing something don't attack her in a negative way, talk to her in a calm way so that she doesn't feel like she got in trouble. If she feels this way she may not want to stay with you.
5. If you are going to be home interact with both the nanny and your child every now and then. yes you have to work but you are home and that way you can build a strong relationship with them.
6. Just use common courtesy, you would be surprised how a smile can change someones work day.
Good Luck i hope this helps you.
Try to make her feel like part of the family. Don't treat her like she is just an employee and you're the big bad boss. If you treat her more like a sister or a friend then she will feel comfortable around you and the family. If your nanny feels like part of the family then she will take better care of your kids and care for them with love.

I checked profile(s). Obviously disturbed person according to other answers he has given. His first and only question in his Answers profile was racially charged ( not much in that mind of his). The coward doesn't allow e-mail, either.
Ignore him.
Why did you have a kid if you just want to outsource it ? Is your kid just a lifestyle choice ? I ask this seriously as this is how my mother treated me and I have hated her for it ever since. People should give more consideration to what their kids think and feel. It saves a lot of heartache later.
