Procedures of hydrostatic pressure test for sanitary sewer system at building contain 3 floors?please advice?

One method is gravity test:

Plug all open pipes and fill the water system until it reaches the highest point of your sewer system. Make sure that there is no leak on plugs and you lock the highest location with your signature on it so nobody can cheat while you are away. Leave it for 24 hours or as specified in the specification. Then check if the water level is the same as yesterday. If there is no change then your sewer system is ok.

Another is pressure test, where you will fill the pipeline with water and pressure up to a specified parameter. When you reach the required pressure, leave it for 2hours or what is specified, then come back. If the pressure gauge drops then there is a leak and you have to check for it. Repeat the procedure until you get satisfied the specs.

One trick i can give you. Drop a golf ball at the highest point and it should come out at the lowest point. If this happens, then you are assured that there is no clogged on your piping and the installer is not cheating. Because sometimes, they plug the middle portion of pipe to accelerate the filling up of pressure or water during the gravity test.

Hope this helps
