Advice on building a custom gaming computer?

I know there is a bunch of questions out there but I need a little help with this one. I plan on ordering from newegg.com, here are my specs: NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra motherboard, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, CORSAIR 650W PSU, EVGA Geforce 8800GTS (G92), and CORSAIR DDR3 (2x1). All in a NZXT Lexa Case w/ red LEDS. Sound good? I mean of course I have a hard drive and dvd roms (blu-ray), case fans, and CPU cooler. But what do you guys think of it?Advice on building a custom gaming computer?
$1800, I sure hope that includes the 22';? You should shop newegg.com...Advice on building a custom gaming computer?
It sounds like an excellent system, though if you have the money, but another 8800 GTS for sli (great motherboard BTW)

what OS are you getting?

do you want a memory card reader?
The system looks solid, although 2GB ram, even DDR3, is pretty low for a new build. I would shoot for 4GB if possible. Also, your PSU might be a little weak, so make sure to read reviews and check the Amps on the +12V rail. Air cooling should be fine, but make sure you set up the case in such a way that you can get intake and exhaust (I have an intake fan on the front, various case fans/component fans, and the big exhaust fan on the back.) You can get a fan controller for a 2.5'; floppy bay for next to nothing, mine was $15 on NewEgg.com, and more likely than not you won't be needing a floppy drive anyway. Plus they look cool :)
You can upgrade your processor to a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 for another $20. Other than that, you can get another graphics for SLI and 2 more gigs of RAM. It's a pretty good gaming system, if you can't get all those now, save up money so you can upgrade them later. Another thing, if you want to buy monitors, Dell has cheap and nice monitors - I believe it's $250 (just don't get the one with webcam, it doesn't look as good and costs a lot more).

You might just want to use Luke F's config. It looks even better, except the video cards are deactivated. And if you already have an OS, you can subtract $250 and get a monitor.

And yes, Vista OS was tested to have a little better performance for gaming than XP.

I think it'll be better if you got 8GB of DDR2 than 4GB of DDR3. Check out these RAMs, they are cheap with great performance.
