Looking for advice on building muscle, gaining some weight, etc.?

18yo, 6'0, 150 lbs, small appetite and fast metabolism so it's hard for me to gain weight and i've never taken any supplements or anything. i wanna build muscle mass and tack on a few pounds but also get cut up. looking for any suggestions on routines, specific exercises, sets, reps, diet, or websites to check out. also tips on how to stay motivated since i have a history of working out consistently for a few months then losing all interest for an equal amount of time.Looking for advice on building muscle, gaining some weight, etc.?
right, motivation, pick what you want to look like, from a picture, or whatever u like. then stick it on your wall where you work out at home doing sit ups, press ups etc. this should motivate you. to build muscle gain weight, use weight gainers or/and protein shakes (www.maximuscle.com/co.uk). They work definately when used with a weight regime. Looking for advice on building muscle, gaining some weight, etc.?
Carbs are usually good for putting on some weight and are harder for your metabolism to digest. Don't go overboard though.

Also have a good balance of the Low GI foods.

To buff up, you need to do weights or exercises where you hold your own body up such as push ups or chin ups. This strain causes microscopic tears in your muscles and then the protein in your body fills these tears with more muscle. Make sure to eat enough protein for your body to do this.

Also make sure to change up your routine, as after a certain amount of time your muscles get used to what you're doing and will stop growing. This also helps to keep you motivated :)
A couple of the best weight training websites I have seen are

www.exrx.net

www.t-nation.com

They are both totally free and contain lots of great information.

To stay motivated try setting yourself some goals. If you are working towards reaching a certain weight then write it down and keep it somewhere where you will see it every day.

Good luck
When you perform the same workout for more than 6 weeks, you鈥檒l soon reach a stage of plateau. This is the point where your body has already got used to the workout and thus has decreases its effectiveness.

For better results, refreshing training routine once every 3 months and of course set new goals and targets.

No matter what is your age, you can look at feel your best at any age. This can be easily done by knowing how your body functions and what sort of exercises will get your at its peak.

Some recommendaton on workout programme.

Everyday we鈥檙e succumb to many stressful events and demands like responsibilities, rules, changes, decision making, handling relationships, ill-health and money matters. All such daily activities can cause significant stress.

Positive stress helps us to cope with problems that might surface and give life some spice and excitement.

However, excessive stressful conditions overtime may do more harm than good. It affects health, relationships and impede life enjoyment.
